I recently had the incredible opportunity to host Christina Kopaczewski on my live show, The Equipping Station, and catch up years after we first met in the Phoenix area in the early 2000s.
She joined me from her new home in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to talk about her Substack community, Poured In Purpose. I was deeply moved listening to her explain how the project was born out of her painful journey through a divorce after thirty-three years of marriage to a pastor.
She shared how she uses her platform to empower women—and surprisingly, many men—navigating major life transitions, helping them reclaim their self-worth and realize they aren’t disqualified from God’s calling.
We bonded over the idea of gathering around the table to share our stories over a cup of coffee, and how Substack perfectly fosters that kind of genuine community rather than just chasing numbers.

What truly struck me during our conversation was her immense resilience. Despite the lack of support she initially felt from the church during her divorce, she remains centered in Christ and is currently editing her first devotional book, From Pain to Pour.
She beautifully expressed that she wouldn’t change her past because it gave her four wonderful children—miracles she was once told she’d never have after surviving a near-fatal car accident at seventeen, where she flatlined three times.
Hearing her describe herself as centered, optimistic, and resilient reminded me exactly why God called me to Substack to highlight amazing creatives like her, and I left the interview urging all my listeners to go subscribe to her inspiring work.
Thanks, Christina, for your time.
